About Amrita University 2014 Exam

The Application form will be available to the candidates from 16 December 2013 to 21 March 2014. The interested candidates may fill the form either online or offline. The Application Form must be received by the University before or on 24th March 2014. The applicant will be considered eligible only if he/she meets the eligibility criteria defined for Amrita University 2014.

Amrita University 2014 Eligibility Criteria

The set of requirements which must be fulfilled by the candidate, before applying for the Amrita University 2014 Entrance Exam, is called eligibility criteria. Some of the important conditions of these eligibility criteria are:

•    The Date of birth of the candidate must be on or after the month of July 1993.
•    The minimum qualifying marks of class XII exam or equivalent will be 55% individually in Physics, Math and Chemistry and 60% collectively in these subjects, will be required.
•    Or diploma in engineering by recognizes Board, with minimum aggregate of 60% marks.

The Amrita University 2014 Application Form will be accessible to the candidates through following sources:

Postal Mode

The interested candidate must request for the Application Form by sending an envelope with self address to the University with the Demand Draft of the amount of Application Fee (Rs.1000/-), to the address: The Admission Co-ordinator, Amrita School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, (P.O) Amritanagar, Ettimadai, Coimbatore – 641112, Tamil Nadu.

The University will then send an Application form to the candidate on the address of candidate.

University Campus

The candidate may buy the Application form directly from any of the campus of the Amrita University. The candidate must pay Rs.1000/- at the cash counter to get the Application Form.

Authenticated Centers

The Amrita University Application Forms will also be available at various sale centers authorized by the universities to sale the Application Form. These centers may be at the post office or banks.

•    The print out of Application Form must be obtained and filled

Amrita University 2014 Exam Pattern

The Entrance Exam for Amrita University will contain questions from three subjects according to following details:

•    There will be 120 questions.
•    Each question will carry 3 marks.
•    The percentage of questions from various subjects will be:

Physics                 35
Chemistry             35

•    The duration of exam will be three hours. Negative marking for wrong answers will be done.

Amrita University 2014 Counselling

Counselling for the seat allotment to the suitable candidates under Amrita University will be held in the month of May or June 2014. The candidates will be sent call letter for counselling. The counselling will be held simultaneously at all the campus of the University. Original documents of candidate will also be verified during counselling.

Amrita University 2014 Documents

The University has directed candidate to bring certain documents with him/her on the counselling day. Few important points regarding the documents:

•    The original and Xerox of the Mark sheet of 10th and 12th must be brought by the candidate.
•    The original documents proving the claim of candidate regarding any reserved category.
